Squadron Leadership School (SLS) provides CAP's adult members with the basic understanding of CAP operations at the squadron level and how those operations affect CAP's national missions. Additionally, members learn more about CAP customs, core values, and communications. Case studies, discussion, and group assignments are integral facets of the SLS.

Prerequisites:

1.      Membership Award (L1) (including Orientation/Foundations, OP-SEC and CPPT), and

2.      Specialty Track Selected and recorded on your CAP NHQ eServices record.  (for help on deciding your Duty Position and Specialty Track see the Specialty Track Study Guides (and links to the pdfs) on the PA Wing Prof. Devel. Webpage at  http://www.pawingcap.com/pd.php , and discuss with your squadron commander, deputy commander for seniors, or professional development officer)

See CAPR 50-17 for details about student eligibility, graduation reporting requirements, and related policy matters.

CAPR 50-17 - CAP Senior Member Professional Development Program

All qualified SLS students must submit a CAP F17 Application for Senior Member Activities  30 days before course date..

(Seats are limited; we will not be able to accommodate last minute walk-ins)

Cost:
the $20 fee covers food (continental breakfast and lunch) and student handouts...  We ask cash payment be made at the class sign in.  As breakfast and lunches are paid in cash, it makes managing the course easier.

a 1"   3-ring binder for handouts, notebook/paper and, of course, something to write with.

Uniform of the day(s):

CAP uniform....  white aviator w/gray slacks... or blue AF shirt etc. (Golf Shirts are ok)
(
Note: on Sunday, we will have the class photo… many students choose to wear dress blues, although not required.)

Thanks… and remember we have FUN in all our trainings!
